Update:
I made it! A bit slower than expected, but my knees seized up around 18 miles, and I had to walk for a bit.
A HUGE thank you to everyone who has donated. It's a fantastic total.
PS I'm never running another marathon ever again. EVER!
I was lucky enough to get a ballot place for this year's London Marathon, so as I've been a member of Whitstable Lifeboat crew for over 30 years, it seems fitting to raise some money for a cause so close to my heart.
I don't have to raise a set amount, but anything you contribute to such a worthy charity would be very much appreciated.
