CMV Action is the only charity in the UK dedicated and committed to raising awareness about Cytomegalovirus (CMV) and Congenital Cytomegalovirus (cCMV). CMV is a common but overlooked virus that can have profound consequences, especially for newborns and those with weakened immune systems. CMV is a leading cause of birth defects and developmental disabilities when contracted during pregnancy.

Knowledge and awareness of CMV is shockingly low and many, including healthcare professionals are sadly unaware of the risks it poses and the simple prevention methods.  They are a small charity whose mission mission is to make CMV knowledge widespread and impactful, to ensure the health of future generations.
