Lollipop was established in 2004 to offer social support to deaf children, young people and their families in York and North Yorkshire whatever their degree of deafness (mild to profound). They also extend their support to children of deaf adults (CODA).

Lollipop provides free activities and workshops around York and the surrounding area. Through such activities they aim to help their members and families make friends and form a deaf peer group, building their sense of belonging to a local deaf community and increasing confidence, self-esteem and self-identity.
