About Marco
I am honoured to join MACS team and support their cause in the London Marathon on the 27th of April 2025.
I am Italian born and raised in Rome, I live in London, Greenwich, since 2013: I am a father of a lovely boy, of a super cute dog and loyal partner of a fantastic woman, Federica. My job is in the financial industry for a great company really cares about charity and it will help in this adventure.
I started this journey thanks to my Uni friend Simone just 1 year ago and London would be my first Marathon: I ran few 5k, 10k and Half Marathons between London and Rome: my PB belongs to the Half in Rome last October. I share the London Marathon experience with Simone the one who got me involved in the running journey....we can't wait to run London together!

It is with great excitement that I tell you I am training for the TCS London Marathon scheduled on April 27th 2025 as a member of “MACS” team.
For those of you who don't know me, please, allow me to introduce myself. I am Italian born and raised in Rome. I am a father of a lovely boy Francesco, of a cute girl Elena and devoted partner of a fantastic woman Marta: they are my passionate supporters! I work in Public Sector & Government consulting for a great company always involved in charitable initiatives like this: they will support me in this adventure.
Running is my passion. I have increased my running workouts during COVID and since there I ran many races covering all the distances up to the Marathon. I share the London Marathon challenge with Marco, my dear old friend ever since college. I am “coaching” him in the running adventure and we’d really like to run London together!
About MACS
MACS is a small national charity supporting children and adults born without eyes or with underdeveloped eyes.
Every year in the UK, an estimated 114 babies will be born with no eyes (Anophthalmia), small eyes (Microphthalmia), or a cleft in the eye (Coloboma). Many children will have additional needs or other health challenges. Receiving the diagnosis may be an isolating experience for parents; they may feel hopeless and alone.
Our Commitment
We're reaching out to see if you'd consider sponsoring our partecipation in this race. Your support would not only help us achieve a long-standing personal goal but also contribute to an organization that has empowered us with the confidence to pursue our dreams.
We choose MACS because they support a real niche cause that could receive less attention from the crowd: we are honoured to help this organization.
We took the commitment to raise at least £5,000 to support MACS in its cause and we are asking if you would consider joining and supporting us in this journey. Your donation will go directly to fund services that provide a lifeline to those who experience the impact of MACS conditions. At the same time, every donation, no matter the size, can make a significant impact in helping us to achieve our fundraising goal!
