My Story

My brother Dan and I are gearing up to take on two marathons in two months to raise vital funds for national charity Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.

Our marathon challenge kicks off in Rome this March, when we’ll be running 26 miles through the historic streets of the Italian capital. Just over a month later, we’ll be lining up with 50,000 other competitors at the London Marathon.

We've witnessed first-hand the very real difference these dogs make to their deaf partners, not just alerting them to life-saving and important sounds like smoke alarms and doorbells, but also providing them with constant companionship.

Hearing Dogs are identifiable by their burgundy jacket, which makes it clear to other people when the dog is out and about that their partner is deaf. This, combined with the unconditional love they provide, goes a long way to overcoming the feeling of isolation people with hearing loss often experience.

By sponsoring our marathons, you'll be directly contributing to this amazing cause and making a real difference to the lives of deaf people. Here are just some of the ways in which your support will make a difference:

· £30 will provide a hearing dog with his or her burgundy jacket, bringing visibility to their deaf partner’s deafness.

· £80 will buy a complete puppy starter pack, including bed, crate, toys, collar, lead, and training aids.

· Smaller donations too will fund essential items such as collars, treats and toys to reward pups during training.

As you can see, every penny really does count, and every donation will go directly to supporting the people who need them most.

Thank you for your generosity.
