My Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!

I am taking on The London Marathon 2025 and looking for your help to support Earthwatch - an organisation driven by people and powered by science, taking action to connect communities with nature.

I am extremely passionate about making nature accessible to all and protecting the planet. As a Pilot, I get to experience the awesomeness of nature from a unique perspective, but I am aware of my impact too. This is why I am passionate about sustainable aviation and use my time to support development of new hydrogen technology, so that we can continue to fly and connect people around the world, without harming it.

I also love exploring the great outdoors, wild swimming, hiking and cycling, and I am looking for your help to raise money so that Earthwatch can ensure more communities have access to outdoor activities like these, connections to nature, safe waterways and a good environmental education.

Did you know:

  • Around 1 in 3 people in the UK don’t have access to nature-rich spaces near their homes, with some of the most deprived areas having no natural green space
  • In the UK alone only 14% of rivers are considered to be in good ecological health, and every single one of them fails to meet the required chemical standards

As an Independent Research Organisation, Earthwatch employs scientists, citizen science and works with educators, city councils, local businesses and communities to support a huge number of programmes and initiatives including Green Earth Schools, Tiny Forest, Teach Earth, FreshWater Watch and the WaterBlitz. Check out their website for more info and videos on the amazing work they are doing across the UK, EU and Africa.

I'll be 30 in July 2025 and so, as if a marathon wasn't enough (currently the furthest I have run is 15km!), it only seems right to challenge myself to an epic Swim-Bike-Run series known as the London Classics. Following the London Marathon (26.2 miles) April 2025 , I will take part in Swim Serpentine (2 miles) September 2025 and Ride London (100 miles) April 2026. With a combined distance of 128.2 miles this will not be easy, but i can’t wait to get training, turn 30 and tackle all 3 events!

I will post regular updates on this page, including photos and finishing times as I complete each race. Thank you so much for your time and donations, I am extremly grateful for your help in supporting Earthwatch.
