My Story

If you’re visiting my page, you’ll know my Gran meant the world to me and she sadly passed away in December 2023. What not many people know is she had a condition called Inclusion Body Myositis. A muscle-wasting condition that in her later years really did have an impact on her daily life, from everyday discomfort to struggling to eat. Even those professionals who were caring for her didn’t know or understand the condition.

I’m running for Muscular Dystrophy UK in memory of my wonderful Gran, to help them in their vital work in funding pioneering research into treatments and cures as well as providing vital information, advice, resources and support for individuals and families living with muscle-wasting conditions.
