My Story

I’m Running the London Marathon for TRAIN – Because They Never Gave Up on Me

Hi, I’m Comby. This April, I’m taking on the challenge of running the London Marathon – all 26.2 miles of it – to raise money for TRAIN, a youth charity that changed my life.

As a teenager growing up in Didcot, I got involved with TRAIN through their football sessions. They were always there – on the streets, in school, and later, when I lost my way. When I ended up in court, they stood up for me. When I was in prison, they visited me. When I got out, they helped me find a job.

TRAIN never gave up on me. And because of that, I’ve been in work for 12 years, living a stable life, and now I have the chance to give back.

I’m running six days a week, pushing my body to its limits, because I know the money I raise will help other young people get the same second chance I did. Youth services have been hit hard by funding cuts, and charities like TRAIN are more important than ever.

Please donate whatever you can – every pound will go towards keeping young people supported, heard, and on the right path. Let’s make sure no young person falls through the cracks.

Thank you for your support!
