My Story

My Dad (Jim McKinven) passed away suddenly in March 2023.

No warning, no illness. Just a sudden heart attack. It was absolutely devastating and we miss him every day.

He was the best Dad you could hope for - supported us in every single thing and was always there (for everyone in fact) to offer wise counsel and sage advice.

He was also a type 2 diabetic and appears to have suffered a ‘silent heart attack’ - didn’t display any of the normal symptoms or warning signs.

So, to raise a bit of awareness for the silent heart attack, some funding for BHF and most of all celebrate his memory, I will be running London marathon in 2025

Any donations would be very gratefully received and the motivation appreciated, as training through this winter is just awful!
