My Story

Fundraising for the Taxi Charity

I am running the London Marathon to raise funds for the Taxi Charity for Military Veterans.

By the time the London Marathon comes around, I will have run eight marathons! I am running the Paris Marathon on 13 April 2025 - London will be my ninth.

I have run the London Marathon three times before. The first time was virtually, during lockdown, while the other two times I ran the actual course. I just love running and challenging myself. This year will definitely be a test since I will have run the Paris Marathon just two weeks before, and I've never done two marathons in a row.

I love running. Every year after a marathon, I say this is my last, and no one ever believes me. Running through the streets of London is always an incredible experience - there’s nothing quite like running in my home country, with the energy of the crowds pushing you forward. But this year, it’s about more than just the running - I’m honoured to have been asked to run on behalf of the Taxi Charity for Military Veterans.

The charity provides vital support to veterans. Many of the veterans I expect have faced unimaginable challenges. Running 26.2 miles is a small effort compared to the sacrifices they have made. By taking on this marathon, I hope to raise awareness and funds to help the charity continue with its important work and get more veterans on trips.
