My Story

Back at it again! I know I keep asking for your support, but it's always for incredible causes—so, please bear with me.

After receiving so much unwavering support toward my 10k race earlier this year, generous donations, and kind words from all of you, I felt inspired to take on a new challenge. I’ve applied to run the London Marathon 2025 for a charity that is incredibly close to my heart: Maggie's Centres.

If you're not familiar with Maggie's, I highly recommend learning more about them. They provide essential support to people affected by cancer—whether it's yourself, a family member, or anyone close to you. Through my personal experience, I’ve learned that healing is far from linear, and the journey can be filled with unexpected challenges. It can feel overwhelming and lonely at times, but having a support system like Maggie's can make all the difference.

In one of my darkest moments, after losing my grandma and going through an extremely difficult time, I turned to Maggie's for help. I was at a breaking point—struggling in my relationships, losing my sense of self, and feeling like I had nowhere to turn. I remember being in the staff room at my previous job, unable to stop crying, when I picked up the phone and called Maggie's Cambridge. Helen, a wonderful staff member, answered, and the sense of relief I felt was indescribable. Just hearing someone say "it's okay"—someone outside of my usual support network who truly understood the challenges of dealing with cancer—was a turning point for me. Since then, life has slowly begun to improve.

Now, I feel incredibly fortunate to be running the London Marathon for Maggie's. On race day, I will proudly wear my orange bib, knowing that I’m supporting a cause that has had a profound impact on my life.

To participate, I need to raise £3,000, and I’m confident that with your help, I can achieve this goal. I’ll also be organizing fundraising events to raise both money and awareness, and I would love for you to join me in supporting this incredible charity!
