My Story
As a physiotherapist at the Royal Hospital for Neuro Disability, I have the privilege of working alongside incredible patients every day—people who show immense strength and resilience in their journey to recovery. Helping them regain independence, rebuild confidence, and improve their quality of life is what makes my job so rewarding.
This year, I'm taking on a personal challenge by running the London Marathon to raise funds for this life-changing hospital. Every step I take in the marathon represents the hard work and determination of the patients I work with. Your support will directly help fund the vital services we provide, allowing us to continue making a difference in the lives of those with neurological disabilities.
I am passionate about the work I do, and I believe in the power of helping others. By supporting my run, you’re helping provide hope, care, and rehabilitation to those who need it most. Thank you for being part of this incredible journey!
About us
The London Marathon has become an annual, inspiring and colourful fixture in the world’s sporting calendar since the inaugural race on 29 March 1981: a celebration of fun, fundraising and fancy dress.
Over the years more than a million people have completed the 26.2-mile course – which runs from Blackheath to The Mall, with a spectacular finish in front of Buckingham Palace, showcasing the very best that the capital city has to offer.
What’s more, these participants have raised over a billion pounds for charity and there have been countless amazing tales of human achievement throughout the event’s history – living up to its aim of helping participants ‘to have fun, and provide some happiness and sense of achievement in a troubled world’.
