My Story

Why I am running!

I am running the 2025 London Marathon in support of an amazing charity - the Pattenmakers Livery Company Charitable Trust. Over the years my uncle, grandfather and great-grandfather have all been part of the Pattenmakers which supports a number of fantastic causes including
providing orthopaedic footwear for injured servicemen based at the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre and initiatives such as the
St Mary-le-Bow Young Homeless Charity and 'I Choose Freedom’ which provides refuge and a safe place for women. My uncle ran the 2013 London Marathon in support of the Pattenmakers and now it’s my turn!

This is my first marathon and the thought of 26.2 miles is slightly daunting as my longest competitive run to date was the 2024 Amsterdam half-marathon. I am proud to be the fourth generation of my family to aid this wonderful charity and any support of my efforts would be greatly appreciated. Please don’t feel obliged to go large - a tenner here or there will make all the difference and inspire me to do my very best on Sunday 27th April.

Thank you for your support - wish me luck!!
