My Story

Thank you for visiting my page. Whatever you can spare will be a huge help in supporting seriously ill children and their families to cope when facing a devastating diagnosis.

As many of you may know, I have been working for Momentum for over a year now, here I have seen how a diagnosis of childhood Cancer or another  life limiting illness can affect not just the child but the whole family. Last year we as a team supported over 300 families with children under active treatment, but unfortunately there is an increasing need of support for these families.

As a Family Support Worker at Momentum, I am currently working across three local hospitals; St.Georges, The Royal Marsden and Kingston Hospital where I go and spend valuable time with families during their stay. I feel it is such a privilege to have the platform to meet and help so many families who's lives have been turned upside down, I have had the pleasure of sharing many lovely moments with families but also many tears. All donations will help me and my amazing team to continue to support families and help to get families back on their feet again. Funding Creative therapy sessions for the children and their siblings, Counselling for parents struggling to cope with a child's diagnosis, facilitating much needed respite breaks at one of our lovely UK holiday homes in between treatment and organising fun family days out. I have seen the difference that these small things can make to a family first hand. Your donations will allow us to continue to offer tailored support to these families at the most difficult times in their lives.

I am running the marathon this year for every Child and Family I have met and continue to meet on their journeys. Please get Donating - it all helps!
