Running for Liver Health (in a Liver Mascot) : Help Me Reach My Goal!
Camille Manceau
My Story
Hello friends, family, and colleagues,
This year, I’m taking on a unique challenge to support a cause close to my heart (and my liver). On April 27th , I’ll be running the London Marathon (my first!) dressed as a Liver Mascot to raise awareness about the importance of liver health and early detection of liver diseases.
My goal? To raise at least £2000 which will support the fantastic work carried out by The British Liver Trust and make a meaningful impact!
Why Liver Health Matters to Me
18 years at Echosens, the FibroScan company, made me a Liver Health enthusiast, fully dedicated to advancing awareness and broaden usage of non-invasive diagnostic for liver diseases across the world.
It’s been a journey of learning, advocacy, and hope. Liver disease is often called the "silent epidemic" because symptoms can go unnoticed until complications arise. Early detection and prevention are key to saving lives. Let's give more voice to this essential organ that is Liver!
How This Small Endeavor Makes a Big Impact
By supporting this campaign, you’ll help raise awareness about liver health and fund initiatives to:
- Promote early detection, reducing unnecessary complications for patients & save lives
- Support research and education to empower individuals and communities.
- Provide vital resource, support & counsel for those affected by liver diseases.
Join Me on This Mission
Running 42 kilometers (26.2 miles) in a liver mascot costume is no small feat, but I’m ready to do it because this Cause is worth it. Every step I take in the marathon will symbolize the fight against liver disease and the hope for a healthier future.
Help me reach my fundraising goal of £2000 by donating through the link below. Together, we can make every step count and contribute to a brighter future for for patients & altogether for liver health.
Thank you for your generosity and support—let’s make this campaign unforgettable!
With heartfelt thanks,
Camille Manceau
