Charlie Jeffrey
My Story
This is a run that is going to mean ALOT to me. This run is dedicated to my grandad Tony.
A little about my gramps:
I'm sure when I say this those that had the honour of knowing my grandad will certainly agree, he had the kindest soul and was an incredibly good man. He was certainly well loved and still is to this day.
He never failed to make me smile as a kid and even now memories of him make me that little bit happier, from him spinning around like a ballerina (thats what i wanted to be of course) to just simply shouting 'oi' as i came through the door.
unfortunately he was diagnosed with alzheimers...which is why this charity means alot. Losing someone from passing away is always difficult but losing them whilst they're still alive is even harder. Seeing a loved one's frustration of forgetfulness and the confusion on their face is horrible thing that many families have to adjust to as we cannot physically help.
I hope one day they find a way to help cure this disease. And although I cant be the one to do that, I can help by raising money for people to work on doing that.
Im taking part in the london marathon to make my grandad proud, as i know he most certainly will be.
Donations will personally appreciated more than you can imagine.
In loving memory of Tony Jeffrey
