London Marathon 2025
Once again I’ve stepped out of my comfort zone!
Rather than it being longer and gnarlier, this time it was shorter and a lot flatter…
The London Marathon was everything I’d been told about and more.
I was stood on the start line and everyone was laughing at me because I’d forgotten my shorts and I was stood there in my budgie smugglers!!! My friend Andy Grey actually did run in only his budgie smugglers but that’s another story. Thankfully for me it was only a dream the night before!
In a moment of madness I’d put my name in our running clubs annual draw for the one allocated ticket to the London Marathon and won.
It was a hot day with tremendous crowds all the way from start to finish that I’ll never forget.
I’ve decided to raise money for a charity that’s close to my heart, Mind Over Mountains. My good friend Alex Staniforth started the charity in 2020 to help inspire people with mental health problems to get out and about.
