The London Marathon has become an annual, inspiring and colourful fixture in the world’s sporting calendar since the inaugural race on 29 March 1981: the year I was born!
I was supposed to run last year but picked up a triple stress fracture in my pelvis on my last hard training run. 😢
In late 2023, my Dad passed away following delayed treatment for Sepis. Sepsis is the second biggest killer in the UK, killing 48,000 people every year. Early diagnosis is key, so raising awareness in both the general public and medical professionals is paramount.
