My Story

On Sunday 27th April 2025, I will be running the London Marathon for the National Deaf Children's Society (NDCS). Growing up with profound hearing loss, I was incredibly fortunate to benefit from NDCS' invaluable support in further developing my sense of deaf identity and self-confidence. I will always be grateful to those at NDCS for their dedication and encouragement. 

I now have the privilege of working for NDCS to advocate on behalf of deaf children and young people to ensure that they overcome the many barriers which they face. From feelings of social isolation to a lack of appropriate support in school, many deaf children and young people are sadly at risk of being left behind. 

With your support, the National Deaf Children's Society can be there for every deaf child who needs our support. Together, we can break down the barriers that hold so many deaf children back. Please sponsor me generously to make this happen.
