My Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I’m running this marathon in honour of my nephew, Noah who was born prematurely and sadly passed away in August this year after spending 138 days in the NICU across two different hospitals including Queen Charlotte's. His life, though brief, has had a profound impact on the whole family and I want to do everything I can to support other families facing the challenges of prematurity and many other issues that result in children ending up in the NICU.

Our baby or child being in intensive care is unimaginable for many of us parents however NICU and PICU is the reality for millions of babies and families every year, with many requiring intensive medical care to survive and thrive. Sadly, not all are as fortunate, and the emotional toll on families is unimaginable. Through this run, I hope to raise both awareness and funds for Cosmic Charity, a charity that provides vital support to babies and families that are in the NICU and PICU at St Mary’s and Queen Charlotte’s Hospital London. They go above and beyond what the NHS can afford purchasing vital state of the art equipment, providing training for health professionals, funding a programme of groundbreaking research into life-threatening diseases and supporting families through one of the most difficult times in their life with one to one support, advice, counselling, accommodation for parents.

My goal is to raise £2,000.00 to support this important cause. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference. Your generosity will help provide the care that these babies and children need and offer support to families who, like mine, know the heartache of losing a child.

Running this marathon is my way of honouring Noah and ensuring his memory lives on by helping other babies and families in need. If you’re able to, please consider donating to this cause that is so close to my heart. Together, we can contribute to giving these babies and children a fighting chance and support those going through the toughest battle of their lives.

Thank you for your support, whether it’s through a donation or simply sharing my page.

Thank you.

Hannah
