My Story

Hello everyone, thank you for finding my fundraising page. My name's Hazel and I will be running the London Marathon 2025 for Afghanaid, a charity that is very close to my heart.

Afghanaid helps to support some of the most marginalised people in Afghanistan. For a rural Afghan family, your donation could mean gaining access to clean water, growing more food, and protection against climate change. It could mean a young Afghan woman can learn skills and start a small business that will give her family a brighter future.

The people of Afghanistan desperately need our support. Over 90% of the population are living below the poverty line. Two in three Afghans don't know when they will get their next meal. I will be taking part in this marathon for those Afghan people, who depend on the support of charities such as Afghanaid. Every single donation matters, no matter how big or small. Thank you so much for you generosity.

£12.50 could buy the required stationary and booklets for a woman learning literacy, so she can live with independence.

£20 could buy 20 apple trees for a family, providing them with a new source of income and nutrition.
