My Story
I am running the London Marathon 2025 for Cardiomyopathy UK!
I would love to raise as much awareness and money for them as possible in support of my best friend and second family.
In 2013, when Tash’s wonderful brother Tom suddenly passed away from Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, I watched this disease, of which we had absolutely no knowledge, devastate her family.
Tash is my biggest inspiration and I cannot put into words how proud I am of her for everything she has achieved and the person she is❤️
Next April would be Tom’s 30th birthday, so we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than by running the London Marathon together in his memory.
This will be a bloody huge challenge for me and I appreciate any support more than you know xxx
Cardiomyopathy is a disease of the heart muscle. Around 1 in 250 people in the UK are affected, including babies, children and adults. Cardiomyopathy is the leading cause of sudden cardiac death in under 35-year-olds, due largely to a lack of awareness and diagnosis. Cardiomyopathy UK is the only specialist UK charity providing support, raising awareness and campaigning for better care for individuals and families, affected by cardiomyopathy. Their work is funded entirely by donations, so if you can, I’d be hugely grateful if you could sponsor me and help raise money for a cause that’s important to me and many others affected by this life-changing but little-known condition - every penny really does count!
