Hi, I’m Ian, an automotive artist known as Popbangcolour.
Since 2008, I’ve been creating unique artworks using radio-controlled cars, tyres, and wheels at shows and events across the UK, Europe, America, and the Middle East.
My work has taken me to major car shows and F1 events, and I even hold a Guinness World Record for painting with a real car. Cars, motorsport, and art have always been my passion and my career.
When I turned 40 in April 2023, my wife suggested we try a ‘Couch to 5k’ course with Ashby Adventures running group. After the initial course, we kept going, joining a 5k strengthening program, and even completing a 10k race at Silverstone in early 2024, blending my love for motorsport with a new interest in running!
Running has become a positive force for my mental and physical health, and now I’m training for my very first marathon! The London Marathon in April 2025.
I’m raising funds for BEN, an automotive charity I’ve supported for years, and I'm planning on running as many motorsport tracks along the way.
