My Story

About us

The London Marathon: a spectacle of human endeavour, a river of colour flowing through London's iconic streets, and a powerhouse of fundraising, having collectively raised over a billion pounds for vital causes. It's a testament to the power of community and the pursuit of extraordinary achievement.

This year, my journey along that 26.2-mile course is deeply personal. As a personal trainer, I'm not averse to a challenge, but admittedly running is not in my skillset! I'm running not just for the personal challenge, but as a guide for my client, Alan Lock. Alan, who is legally blind, has been a beacon of inspiration to me for over two years as we've worked together in the gym. His dedication and resilience are truly remarkable; he represents and embodies a life without limitations.

Alan's connection to Blind Veterans UK is profound. They've been a lifeline for him, and he's raced for them for years. When he struggled to find a guide willing to take on the marathon, he asked me. I was both honoured and humbled. To support Alan and, in turn, Blind Veterans UK, is a privilege.

Every step we take together will be a step towards empowering veterans with sight loss to live independent and fulfilling lives. Please join us in making a difference. Your donation will fuel their vital work and help us cross that finish line, not just physically, but in our shared mission to support those who have served.
