TCS London Marathon 2025 - charity place
Jake Harvey
My Story
Every day, seven young people aged 13-24 hear the words "you have cancer". My friends and I know this all too well. As many friends will know, in 2017, we lost our close friend Jake Andrews who battled this disease for several years, inspiring us all with his strength, heart and optimism throughout his fight.
I also recently lost my amazing and beautiful auntie Sue through her own battle. She was a true warrior and exuded boundless strength throughout. I am therefore honoured to run in the beautiful memories of Jake and Sue this year.
Teenage Cancer Trust funds specialist nurses, youth support teams and hospital units within the NHS to provide the very best care and support during treatment and beyond, making sure cancer doesn't stop young people living their lives. Many of my friends have collaborated with TCT on various fundraising events and we were blown away with the amazing work and support they give to people like Jake and their loved ones everyday. I am very proud to have been offered a place in their team and to be wearing the red, white and blue once again with the chewy 26 miles ahead of me.
Any contributions to help me reach my goal of £2,500 will be immensely appreciated.
Thanks for reading!
