Hey, Yes Me Jethro Running in the London Marathon, you can't be serious?
Yes, I am running in the 2025 London Marathon, along with some of my fabulous family. Running will also be my partner Rachael, and my two sons Henry & Edward. Inspired by Rachael’s daughter Betsy (the mad runner, iron man, swimmer, rower) after she ran the 2024 Marathon we decided to see if we could get as many of us as possible into the 2025 event and raise some money for some great (and marvellous) charities.
Now some perspective, I am no runner, most people know I’d rather be sat on top of a horse than doing the running myself, but here we are training.
As a family we know how lucky we are to be fit and well, but not all families are so fortunate, and some must deal with very complicated conditions requiring support and treatment from many specialists. This is where Roald Dahl’s Marvelous Children’s charity steps in providing specialist nurses and support for children with complex, lifelong conditions.
Roald Dahl Nurses are trained and dedicated specialists who help families by providing coordinated, dedicated, and holistic care. They are a consistent presence in the child’s life from initial diagnosis through to transition to adult services. They don’t just provide care and advise; they reassure and are a pillar of strength in times of uncertainty.
This is a charity I truly believe in, that makes a real difference, please dig deep and support me in raising money for a great charity, it won’t take you five minutes, and it’s not as if you have to run a marathon!
