My Story

I'm running the London Marathon in support of The National Brain Appeal (NBA) because of the profound impact their work has on the lives of patients with neurological conditions. As a neurosurgical trainee, I see firsthand how the funds raised by this NBA directly enhance patient care through pioneering research and cutting-edge treatments.

The NBA supports the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, as well as the UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology—both world-leading centers in neurological research and treatment. Their initiatives go beyond what the NHS can typically provide, funding essential projects like advanced neurosurgical equipment, innovative research into neurodegenerative diseases, and educational opportunities for healthcare professionals. Contributions such as these are crucial for improving outcomes and quality of life for the one in six people in the UK affected by a neurological condition.

The funds raised for the National Brain Appeal will support groundbreaking projects. The National Brain Appeal is aiming to invest £100 million by 2032 to continue driving advancements in neurological care. By supporting this cause, we're making a real difference for patients now and in the future.
