My Story
Joel’s £3 for sub 3 challenge!
I am challenging myself to run a sub 3 hour London Marathon this year before I reach 40 years old (eeeek!). I'm doing it to raise vital funds and awareness of Brain Tumour Support, a charity close to our family’s hearts after they supported my wife Hannah following her mum’s brain tumour diagnosis. Anything you can donate will be so appreciated, thank you so much. Here is a bit about the charity:
Imagine you hear the words ‘I’m Sorry, you have a brain tumour ’ - who do you call, and where do you go to get the help and support you need to navigate the terrifying days following a diagnosis? Brain Tumour Support’s dedicated Support Line is there to answer the call, to listen and support anyone affected by a brain tumour, for as long as is needed. It costs £16,603 each year to fund this vital service.
Your donation will directly help to fund our Support Line, and if each of you were able to donate £3 or more, we can secure the helpline for the next 12 months.
45 people are diagnosed with a brain tumour every day and Brain Tumour Support are there for them, ensuring nobody faces a brain tumour diagnosis alone.
Having someone on hand to speak to can have a profound impact on families impacted by a brain tumour diagnosis:
‘Thank you for listening to me today, I feel so much better now, just having someone to speak to has made me feel less alone’ - Bev
Thank you so much for your donation, on behalf of the charity, this will make such a difference to people affected by a brain tumour.
