My Story
I'm running in memory of Peter May, my best friends grandad who was cherished by all. Peter suffered a stroke in 2018 and was cared for by the Royal Hospital for Neuro Disability who made sure his time rehabilitating was filled with love and support.
About us
Since 1854, the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability cares for people who have a severe brain injury or neurological disease affecting their brain. The RHN provides therapies and life-changing services such as music therapy, electronic assistive technology, occupational therapy art, bespoke wheelchairs and leisure and family service, to ensure people with neuro-disability can have the best quality of life possible.
Your donations not only help make lives better today, they also invest in the future for people affected by neuro-disability. The RHN also fund and conduct research through the Institute of Neuro-palliative Rehabilitation which ensures that they are always looking for improvements in techniques and practices to provide the best support for people in their care

- £15 could buy a box of assorted art paper for painting and drawing
- £30 could provide a session of communication therapy, helping a patient re-connect with the world
- £50 could pay for 2 patients to enjoy a one hour leisure session in the art room
£80 could pay for one Music Therapy session for an individual patient - £150 could help us equip one of our computers with a special keyboard, designed for use by patients with limited upper body movement
