My Story

Thank you all for the support - every penny counts - see you at the finish line!

In 2023, I ran my first marathon to raise funds for West London Action for Children (WLAC). Crossing the finish line was an unforgettable moment—though my immediate words were, “I’m never doing that again.” Yet, here I am, preparing to run another 26.2 miles in support of this truly life changing charity.

So it’s time to get the garish running shoes back on, the headphones that constantly fall out back in, the fluorescent head band tightly strapped on and hit the pavements, parks and people (not on purpose) of London for the second time.

I’d be grateful for any support you can provide to help me reach my fundraising goal. Every donation, no matter the amount, makes a tangible difference—and gives me the push I need when the miles start to feel endless.

I first got involved with WLAC by helping to organise their annual art auction, Postcards Anonymous  which successfully raised over £10,000 in 2021, over £11,000 in 2023 and recently in November 2024 raised over £12,500! Over the years, it’s been wonderful to see the event grow, but while fundraising at an auction is rewarding, running a marathon is a more personal challenge—and a chance to contribute in a different way.

WLAC provides free and confidential therapy to children, parents, and carers across West London.

From helping children build confidence and express themselves in safe, supportive spaces to offering group programs like Dads Matter and ParenTalk, their work strengthens families and changes lives. With rising pressures on families, their services are more important than ever.

I've personally relied on therapy and counselling in the past and I know the profoundly positive affect it can have on family relationships. We cannot underestimate the benefits that free counselling and therapy has for vulnerable people. WLAC has been supporting families since 1917, and their work continues to pave the way for a stronger, more resilient London.

This is why I’ve chosen to take on the challenge of the London Marathon again for WLAC and the families they support.

Any support you can provide the charity by sponsoring my marathon efforts is immensely appreciated and I hope anyone that does can come and support on the day - And meet me for a beer at the finish line!
