My Story

I’m doing a run….not just any run though, the big one! London marathon 2025. In April next year I’ll be giving it my all and plodding along in London.

As I’m sure you are aware I have Type 1 Diabetes, I was diagnosed in 2004 as a toddler. Obviously, diabetes has been very challenging and at some points has seemed impossible but I’d like to think it hasn’t stopped me from doing anything.

This is, of course, because of great support from family and friends and also from charities like JDRF (now Breakthrough T1D), who have helped a huge deal with researching bits and bobs and teaching me, family, and friends a thing or two about how to live with diabetes.

I am very grateful for this and would like to show my gratitude by raising as much money as possible so they can continue to help, educate, and research cures for those with or affected by diabetes.

Any and every donation would be hugely appreciated. It will go to a great cause, helping other people and bringing us closer to a cure.

I will do my very best to keep people updated about my training, running, and diabetes.

About us

The London Marathon has become an annual, inspiring and colourful fixture in the world’s sporting calendar since the inaugural race on 29 March 1981: a celebration of fun, fundraising and fancy dress.

Over the years more than a million people have completed the 26.2-mile course – which runs from Blackheath to The Mall, with a spectacular finish in front of Buckingham Palace, showcasing the very best that the capital city has to offer.

What’s more, these participants have raised over a billion pounds for charity and there have been countless amazing tales of human achievement throughout the event’s history – living up to its aim of helping participants ‘to have fun, and provide some happiness and sense of achievement in a troubled world’.
