My Story
Running the London Marathon in 2025 for Cancer Research UK is incredibly meaningful to me because I’ve had the privilege of working within CRUK for the last 18 months, witnessing firsthand the transformative impact of our research and support programs.
My time at CRUK has deepened my understanding of how crucial funding is for advancing cancer treatments and improving survival rates. Through running this marathon, I hope to not only raise funds but also awareness for the incredible strides CRUK is making in the fight against cancer. Every step I take will be dedicated to the millions of people impacted by cancer, and to the hope that together, we can make a difference.
I am running and raising money for everyone who has been affected by cancer in some way. I am pushing myself and setting this challenge to make a difference.
On a personal note, I am also running for one of my oldest friends Lucy and her family, in memory of their beautiful mum and wife, Sue. Sue was loved greatly and is missed so dearly, she was an amazing and hilarious human being. She was my mum's best friend and she sadly lost her battle to Bowel Cancer in 2022. I am also running for Jessie, who currently works in my team at CRUK and has been fighting a tough battle against Breast Cancer over the last year. She has been a massive inspiration to us all, working consistently throughout her treatment. Jessie has inspired me so much.
