About IJM
Hi everyone! I am super excited to run the London Marathon (although a little nervous too!) and I am also super excited to be fundraising for IJM UK (International Justice Mission). Here is a little bit about IJM and the really important work they do in ending human trafficking:
Over 50 million children, women and men are held in slavery today. And trafficking isn't just happening a long way away – it’s happening right here in the UK and across Europe.
Women like Samara* are being trafficked from Romania to the UK, sexually exploited and subjected to violence – and the war in Ukraine is putting even more women and children at risk of exploitation.
Samara was trafficked and exploited for five years, becoming pregnant as a result. But with IJM’s support and Samara’s powerful testimony, four traffickers were sentenced to five years in prison.
International Justice Mission is a global organisation working to stop slavery and violence. IJM works with local authorities and partners to:
- Bring people to safety
- Support survivors with trauma-informed care
- Hold perpetrators to account
- Strengthen justice systems so that people are protected in the first place
IJM has worked with authorities to bring over 95,000 people to safety since 1997, and seen slavery and trafficking decrease by up to 86% in places where they have worked. They won't stop until all are free.
Your support today will help IJM continue this crucial work to stop slavery and violent exploitation for good.

Thank you so much for your support for IJM everyone! Any amount you can donate is so so appreciated, and I will be sharing some updates of my training on here from now until the Marathon in April :) xx
