About us

Welcome lovely people to my fundraising page!

Your eyes don’t deceive you; I am running the London Marathon 2025 in aid of Age UK!!

For those of you that know me, I am in no-way your traditional running type. The very thought of running would make me sweat (and still does). Yet, I’ve decided to run 26.2 miles for fun... So, the question remains, why have I signed up for such a challenge? There are two answers;

1: For my wonderful Nan who we sadly lost this year. She was the ultimate beacon of hope for so many of us in our family, and beyond. She was my number 1 fan and would always be cheering me on whatever challenge I faced. She would always say, that whenever I walked into a room it would light up, but I think that happened whenever Nan would appear. The world lost a little sparkle when Nan passed away. So, this one is for you Nanny Bonkers. I know you will be sitting on my shoulder every step of the way.

2: For my gorgeously wonderful daughter Jasmine. The only thing keeping me going on my training runs is imagining seeing Jazzy’s little face beaming at me on the finish line. I want nothing more than to make that little one proud, and for her to grow up knowing to be brave, bold and ever so slightly crazy. When you dream big little one, big things happen - never let anything or anyone get in your way.
