My Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have signed up to run the London Marathon on the 27th April 2025 on behalf of Brain Research UK.

As many of you know, our very important family friend, Caron Mitchell, passed away after being diagnosed and treated for a brain tumour. I can not believe I am writing this but next year it will be ten years since she passed.

Caron was an integral part of my childhood. She was my mother's best friend, a fantastic wife to Ian and a brilliant mother to two of my closest friends - Thomas and Oliver. Without Caron my childhood would not of been the same; she provided me with many opportunities to enjoy my life to the maximum. She will never be forgotten by all those whose
life she touched.

I am running on behalf of Brain Research UK who are the UK's leading dedicated funder of neurological research. Their aim is to improve the lives of those affected by neurolgical conditions to help them live better, longer. Since 2016 they have invested funds of more than £3.7m in research into brain tumours.

Many thanks for reading,

Luke
