My Story

The everyday life of almost every one of us looks the same. People are absorbed in work and household chores. Routine and repetition of the same activities contribute to killing the discovery of the beauty of life.

The pandemic has caused many of us to be stuck at home doing our jobs remotely. A huge number of people struggle with depression. Depression is a very insidious and cruel condition that is sometimes hard to see. People with depression often smile at others, create the impression of very positive people who enjoy a good and positive life. The truth is that this is just a smokescreen, behind which hides loneliness, isolation, lack of faith in one's own strengths and rejection.

I do my workouts regardless of the weather. I run in the sun, rain, when there are strong winds and when there is frost. It gives me a lot of internal motivation and teaches me humility. That is why I believe that setting goals, even those that are unattainable, being active and moving in the fresh air is a great solution for depression and many other problems.

Thanks to one of my good friends, I am participating to take part in this year's London Marathon, which I want to dedicate to all people who struggle with depression but I also want to support GOSH hospital which, since 2015, has been helping and supporting us in understanding my son's illness. This hospital, every day admits hundreds of children who struggle with illnesses for which other doctors cannot find a cure or a solution to deal with it. People who work there are full of passion, understanding, dedication and are also very open and always ready to help children.

All donations that you make go directly to the hospital account. I would like to thank everyone who supports me every day.
