Matthew Peet - Youth 4 Youth - Obsequio
Matthew Peet
My Story
When I first started this journey, it was purely personal. I entered the ballot for the London Marathon, never expecting to get in - but by sheer luck, I did! From that moment, training became my focus, knowing this would be one of the greatest personal achievements of my life. The journey has been incredible, taking me across the country, along canal routes, and through my local area. Along the way, I’ve met fellow runners on similar paths, which has made the experience even more rewarding.
For a long time, I kept this challenge to myself, but recently, I realised I was missing a bigger opportunity - the chance to make a difference for others.
That’s where Youth4Youth comes in. I learnt about them through Obsequio, the organisation I work for, and I knew straight away that I wanted to support their mission. Youth4Youth is a charitable organisation that provides services to young people aged 10-25 across the UK. Their primary service involves putting young people in contact with peers to provide peer-to-peer mentoring, creating a safe space for them to discuss anything that may be troubling them, especially those that struggle to speak with adults or professionals.
It’s an honour to raise money for a cause that empowers the next generation by helping to break barriers on children's and young adults mental health.
Every contribution makes a difference, and I’m proud to know that whatever we raise will help young people thrive.
Please join me in supporting Youth4Youth and help give those in need opportunities to grow.
