My Story
I have worked at Weston Park Cancer Centre for 21 years and for the last 14 years as a Consultant Medical Oncologist treating breast cancer and Gestational Trophoblastic Neoplasia, a rare form of cancer arising from pregnancy.
I am proud to be running the London marathon is support of Weston Park Cancer Charity. For one in two of us, cancer will change everything. Weston Park Cancer Charity is there to help face cancer with you - their services, advice, therapies and support help everyone to live with and beyond cancer. By raising funds, Weston Park Cancer Charity also supports vital pioneering research and clinical trials we do at Weston Park Cancer Centre, many of which I have been fortunate to be signficantly involved in over the years.
I am taking on my first marathon on Sunday 27th April in support of Weston Park Cancer Charity - I would be so grateful if you could please help me raise as much as possible for this brilliant charity by sponsoring me! Many thanks!
About the London Marathon
The London Marathon has become an annual, inspiring and colourful fixture in the world’s sporting calendar since the inaugural race on 29 March 1981: a celebration of fun, fundraising and fancy dress.
What’s more, these participants have raised over a billion pounds for charity and there have been countless amazing tales of human achievement throughout the event’s history – living up to its aim of helping participants ‘to have fun, and provide some happiness and sense of achievement in a troubled world’.
