2025 London Marathon for JDRF
Mike Edwards
My Story
Our little boy, Max, was diagnosed when he was just 9 months old after becoming very unwell. Thanks to the support of the hospital, ambulance service and JDRF workers, Max was able to recover and start on an insulin pump. 2 years on, Max is doing really well and even starting to understand his condition. The JDRF community has provided us with support as a family and given us hope that as Max grows up, the management of his diabetes will become easier for him.
On Sunday 27 April 2025 I will be taking on the TCS London Marathon to raise money for JDRF, the type 1 diabetes charity.
JDRF are committed to eradicating type 1 diabetes. Their research has led to new developments in diabetes technology and treatment and is laying the foundations for a cure. JDRF supports everyone living with type 1 diabetes, by working with policy makers to increase availability of treatments and by providing information and resources to help people manage their condition.
Every £ raised will help JDRF work towards to next big breakthrough in type 1 treatment, so please give generously and know that your support really matters.
Thank you!
