My Story
Help Me Support Turning Tides!
I've committed to raising funds for Turning Tides, an incredible charity that supports people experiencing homelessness. They provide vital services like safe shelter, meals, and essential support to help individuals rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.
After many years of applying, Turning Tides were fortunate enough to win a charity ballot place for the 2025 TCS London Marathon so they issued their own ballot, reaching out to previous fundraisers to see whether they would like to enter to win the place and represent the charity.
Having previously fundraised for Turning Tides for my ABP Southampton Half Marathon run in Apr 24 I was delighted to know that I qualified for their ballot and eagerly put my name down for it, knowing how difficult places are to come by for this event.
Part of my motivation for wanting to take on the London Marathon (aside from running for a fantastic cause) was a) the fact that I've now completed a few half marathons (Barns Green in Sept 24 too) and felt like this was the next step up to challenge myself, b) that if I was ever going to do a marathon and if it ends up being the only one I ever do then London is one of the most iconic and c) in the back of my mind I thought it would be great to complete a marathon before my 40th birthday (Dec 25).
Low and behold, I won the sole place to represent Turning Tides at the London Marathon 25 and look forward to getting started on the training...woohoo! :D
£2500 is the fundraising target for Turning Tides which I know will make a huge difference to the charity. Having visited their Horsham outreach centre at Roffey Place recently, I was able see how they operate and learn more about the services they provide.
By sponsoring me, you're directly contributing to this life-changing work. Every donation, big or small, helps provide critical support to those in need. Together, we can make a lasting impact and help end homelessness.
Thank you so much for your generosity—let's make a difference together!
