My Story
Hello, and thank you for visiting my page. I was proud to take part in the London Marathon in October 2022, which was the first event since COVID caused cancellations in 2020. Now, I’ve been given the incredible opportunity to run the London Marathon again in 2025—and this time, I’m running to raise as much money as possible for a truly fantastic cause.
One of my dear friends was recently diagnosed with cancer. Watching her navigate an incredibly long and difficult treatment journey has been both heart-wrenching but also inspiring. With the support of her family and friends, she has faced every challenge with strength and resilience.
Cancer is tragically impacting more young people, and I want to do what I can to help. Facing cancer at such a pivotal stage of life must be unimaginably tough, not just for the individual but for everyone involved.
Why I’m Supporting Young Lives vs Cancer
Young Lives vs Cancer is a leading charity dedicated to supporting children and young people who have been diagnosed with cancer. Their mission is to ensure that no child has to face cancer alone. They help families find the strength to endure the unthinkable and guide young people back toward independence, allowing them to pursue their dreams and potential.
I am incredibly proud to support this cause by running the 2025 TCS London Marathon. I’ve seen the transformative power of this charity firsthand, and it’s a privilege to contribute to their vital work.
How You Can Help
As the Office Manager of a driving school called driveJohnson’s, We’ve been fortunate to collaborate with Young Lives vs Cancer. This year, we piloted a scheme offering free driving lessons to Danika, a young person supported by the charity. It was heartwarming to see how this helped her regain a sense of purpose and independence. With your support, we hope to extend this opportunity to another young person this year.
