My Story

Hi, my name's Nidhi, and for those of you who don't know me, I’m autistic and ADHD.

I feel truly honoured to be running the London Marathon 2025 for the National Autistic Society (NAS). This cause is incredibly close to my heart, and I’m hoping to raise funds to support NAS in their mission to help autistic individuals, their families, and the wider community navigate the unique challenges of neurodiversity.

Since my diagnosis at the age of 17, I’ve gained a deeper understanding of the many obstacles neurodivergent individuals face - whether in accessing a diagnosis or navigating life with one.

While 17 might seem late for a diagnosis, I now realise how fortunate I was. Around 80% of autistic females remain undiagnosed by the age of 18, often leading to life-altering consequences. My diagnosis was a turning point, giving me the clarity to embrace my identity and better understand myself, and I hope to use this marathon as a way to raise awareness for those still struggling.

This journey has been far from easy. Balancing marathon training with medical school, running Behind the Smiles, and playing netball has been a challenge. Last year, I had to defer my marathon spot due to injuries caused by hypermobility (a condition often linked to neurodivergence). These setbacks were tough, but they taught me resilience and strengthened my commitment to raising awareness for this important cause.

I would be so grateful for your support. With half of my pledged fundraising target left to go, every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to making a difference.

Thank you for supporting me and this incredible cause.

All my love, Nidhi xxx
