My Story

I'm delighted to have been selected by Kidney Care UK to run the London marathon in 2025.    Over the last few years my husbands kidneys have been deteriorating and he has been at end-stage kidney disease since the end of 2023.  

I’m running to raise money and awareness for this terrible illness as unfortunately I’m not a match to give him the gift of life he so desperately needs.  I have seen first hand the important work Kidney Care UK do, not only for the patient but also all the family and friends this life changing diagnosis brings with it.  

I’m incredibly proud of the bravery my husband has shown throughout this year to his daughters and now I want to do the same and show him he is not alone.   

I hope to be able to raise £2500 for this amazing charity but more importantly raise awareness as thousands of people are currently also waiting on the transplant list.
