My Story

Hello Everyone,

I’m raising money for Haven House Children's Hospice in Woodford Green

My older sister Katy, used to attend Haven House in which she would receive expert and compassionate care. I have firsthand experience of the important lifeline their support provides for local families in the North East London area. 

For my Mum & Dad, raising four children was always set to be challenging. However, caring full time for a child who has severe disabilities, or an illness, requires additional help and support. Haven House was there to offer essential local respite care our family needed. The support workers & nurses ensured Katy enjoyed each visit through bespoke activities such as sensory play, music therapy, yoga and physiotherapy.

As well as respite care, they provide therapy sessions & support groups for both families and siblings. Helping to ensure families are supported whilst always putting the child’s care at the forefront. 

I cannot thank local charities, such as Haven House, enough for the differences they make to families like ours growing up. 

Therefore, I am extremely excited to try to give something back by running the London Marathon
