London Marathon 2025 for Mencap!! 🔥

My Story
Hello!
Welcome to my fundraising page for the AMAZING charity, Mencap! 🙌
I'm running the London Marathon for them to make the lives of learning disabled people, like my brother, better - in Wales and across the UK.
Adam is 30 and currently lives in a care home in west Wales. He is my biggest inspiration EVER and is one of the reasons I went into journalism. BUT being a sibling can be very tough as often society overlooks disabled people. That's where Mencap comes into play as they offer bloody amazing advice when you're in times of need. The fight continues, and believe me - there is a fight at EVERY corner, and they're there to get you through it.
One example was when Adam was really REALLY ill in intensive care in hospital at death's door. The helpline, and my friends at Mencap Cymru, really helped us as a family navigate an emotionally devastating time with plenty of crying in the car on the way back down the M4.
I really can't overstate the importance of Mencap across the UK so I'd be REALLY grateful if you could give us a few bob into the fundraising page.
Oh - and I'll be going for a World Record at the London Marathon 👀 More to be revealed soon...

More general info about Mencap 👇
Right now, people with a learning disability face inequalities in every area of life with almost 1 in 3 young people with a learning disability spending less than 1 hour outside their home on a typical Saturday.
They face barriers finding a job, accessing activities in their local community and receiving good quality healthcare. We tackle these issues head on by providing support in a way that meets individual needs and encourages greater independence.
We give expert advice and information that empowers people and their families. And we campaign relentlessly for changes that brings greater equality for people with a learning disability.
By supporting Team Mencap you will be helping us to support people with a learning disability to live the life they choose, and do the things they love.
