My Story

I'm taking part in the TCS London Marathon 2025!

My Dad & my best friend Dan are two of these people affected by this disease, Dan is currently on the transplant waiting list, last year I went to Leeds Hospital to hopefully start the process of being a live donor for Dan but sadly I fell at the first hurdle by not being a blood match, what now? Raise some funds for this great charity, as Dan and I met through our love of running this seemed like the most obvious way to raise money, bring on the next hurdle hopefully one I will not fall at!

August 2024 started a new chapter in my dad’s life, Dialysis 3 times a week for 4hrs at a time, if he can do that then I can do anything, London Marathon here I come.

I will post updates of my training runs as I go along and will be organising some fundraising events which I will share on here.

Every step I take and every penny I raise will be helping Kidney Care UK be there for people affected by kidney disease. Currently, over 3.5 million people are diagnosed with kidney disease with 68,000 of these in kidney failure and 30,000 receiving dialysis treatment.

Please support me and them to make sure no one faces kidney disease alone.

Many thanks
