My Story

I have been fortunate enough to secure a place ro run the London marathon in April, raising much needed funding for Ty Hafan Children’s hospice.

My choice of charity stems my brother’s exerience with his family of accessing Ty Hafan’s support as his elsest son had complex physical and neurological disabilities. Tŷ Hafan provided the absolute best support and care for Elis and my brother's family for nearly a decade while he grew up with cerebral palsy. The loving care and fun filled days through Tŷ Hafan's respite care was amazing.
Elis, my nephew passed away in Ty Hafan in February 2011 but the family continued to receive bereavnemt support for many years following their loss.

I feel privileged to take on this challenge and raising money for such a fantastic charity.I'm sure there will be highs and lows but I am ready to take on this challenge. If you fancy showing your support by donating £2.60 (a little more or less) to this awesome charity and also help motivate me along the way then I'd be super duper grateful. Diolch 😅

About us

The London Marathon has become an annual, inspiring and colourful fixture in the world’s sporting calendar since the inaugural race on 29 March 1981: a celebration of fun, fundraising and fancy dress.

Over the years more than a million people have completed the 26.2-mile course – which runs from Blackheath to The Mall, with a spectacular finish in front of Buckingham Palace, showcasing the very best that the capital city has to offer.

What’s more, these participants have raised over a billion pounds for charity and there have been countless amazing tales of human achievement throughout the event’s history – living up to its aim of helping participants ‘to have fun, and provide some happiness and sense of achievement in a troubled world’.
