My Story

About us

I am running this year to try and raise as much as possible to donate to the ashtma and lung association. My daughter Fíadh suffered a severe injury last March due to severe respiratory infections and my wife and I nearly lost our baby girl. After 2 weeks in paediatric intensive care she finally showed signs of improvement. She had just turned 2. Thankfully our baby girl is still alive and although she now has an inhaler every night we thank all who helped us through the most traumatic experience of our lives. Then just this February on her first birthday, my youngest daughter Nuala suffered a similar illness and ended up on the same ward in intensive care for a week. Once again, we were very fortunate and our beautiful girl recovered. 

It has been quite a journey for our family. 

Hopefully by donating we can understand more the complications of the lungs. It is quite startling to discover how many children find themselves in the same situation or unfortunately in many cases worse off than my family did. 

No donation is small and literally any amount is incredibly welcomed.
