My Story

I am taking part in the London Marathon as part of Epilepsy Society's Team Purple!

Two years ago, my partner underwent emergency brain surgery to remove an abscess, which led to a three-month hospital stay. 
Unbeknown to us at the time, the surgery resulted in her developing epilepsy, causing unexpected, multiple seizures and a huge life adjustment for our little family. 
Unfortunately, despite trying various epilepsy medications, her condition is still not yet under control. 

Epilepsy Society is the UK's only charity transforming the lives of people living with epilepsy through world-leading research, advocacy and care.
