My Story
Marathon 2025 😀🏃♀️
For those who know me know I have been a keen runner for a good while now. I have wanted to attempt completing a marathon for the past 7 years or so after I had my second child but always doubted whether I would be able to complete it after putting my body through two children and all that comes with it.
I decided that this year I was going to try my hardest to get into the marathon and finally compete it since having my children. I was extremely lucky to get a place for BCCS who are a local charity and work closely also with the school in which I work at.
BCCS are an established children's charity delivering vital mental health and emotional wellbeing services in school across Essex and East London. This includes one to work in schools with children, including working with my school in Basildon.
Having experienced some difficulties in the past with my own mental health, I understand the importance of helping young children and supporting them with their mental health at such an important stage in their lives.
I hope to raise as much as I possibly can for the charity and hugely appreciate any donations where possible.
Thank you for reading and if you see me out training, no doubt as red as a beetroot please give me a wave!
